A Fresh Start: Journey to SDET!

A brand-new year, a brand-new website, and a brand-new chapter! As we dive into 2025, I’m thrilled (and honestly a little intimidated) to start documenting my journey toward achieving a huge personal goal: becoming a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). 🎉

Embarking on this journey feels both exciting and nerve-wracking. Why? Because it’s almost like starting fresh in the ever-evolving world of IT. But that’s what makes it so thrilling! This blog will be my digital diary—a space where I’ll share everything I learn about software testing, my thoughts on the concepts I encounter, and my reflections as I move forward.

To kick things off, I’ve enrolled in Rahul Shetty Academy’s course: Master Software Testing + Jira + Agile on Live App—Be a Team Lead. It’s a comprehensive program aimed at sharpening my software testing skills and giving me the tools I need to thrive as an SDET.

Now, here’s where the mix of excitement and intimidation kicks in: even with 4 years of QA testing experience under my belt, I’m starting with the basics. Yep, the fundamentals! While it might feel a little weird revisiting the building blocks, I genuinely believe it’s crucial to lay a strong foundation. This back-to-basics approach will not only help me excel in the IT industry but also grow as a QA Engineer.
